This can take place in your home, out in the community or a mix of both, depending on your needs! These supports are important in helping you maintain a happy and healthy lifestyle.

We also specialize in helping participants during the transition period moving back into living in their own home after a stay in hospital. We understand this can be a difficult time, with many stakeholders involved and a lot of moving parts. We have staff available at short notice in whatever capacity needed to make this transition as smooth as possible. We have a flexible approach to meet your needs, whether that be support around the clock for a short period of time while you are settling back into your home or providing this high level of support for a longer period of time, we are there to support you through those difficult times.

Why are Assistance with Daily Life supports different in each NDIS plan?

The level and cost of support included in an NDIS plan is dependent on each participant’s specific circumstances and support needs. Some participants may have more complex needs that require a higher level of support, whereas other participants may only need assistance with certain tasks.

What is not covered in Assistance with Daily Life?

Assistance with Daily Life funding aims to maximise the participants independence and achieve their goals, however there are certain things that this funding can’t cover. These include, but are not limited to, cost of food or ingredients for meals, rent or mortgage payments, household items like cleaning supplies and personal items not delated to the participant’s disability, such as clothes or electronics.

What is the difference between ‘Core Supports’ and ‘Assistance with Daily Life’?

‘Core Supports’ is the umbrella category that includes ‘Assistance with Daily Life’. Other categories included in Core Supports include Assistance with Social and Community Access, Consumables and Transport.
