I am the carer of a child with disability or developmental delay

NDIS
What is the NDIS and what does it mean for my child?

The NDIS gives children with disability the support they need to live a full and independent life. It is an insurance scheme being rolled out nationally.

The NDIS is not a welfare system, it is designed to provide those eligible the supports they need to improve their independency over time.

I have my child's NDIS plan, what do I do now?
  1. Once you receive your child’s NDIS plan via email or in the mail, have a read-through to understand the supports included.

  2. Speak with your child’s relevant NDIS representative to help you start using your child’s plan.

  3. Connect with service providers to deliver support for your child.

  4. Your child’s NDIS is now underway!

How can my child access the NDIS?

Eligibility for your child depends on many different factors.

Answer a few questions, see if you’re eligible and get more information on the NDIS website.
